Protesters Set Vehicles Ablaze at Kano High Court

In Kano, unrest erupted as protesters set vehicles ablaze on the premises of the State High Court on Thursday.

The demonstrations, part of the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests, quickly escalated, leading to significant property damage and looting across the city.

The newly built Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) Industrial Park was looted, and parts of the Audu Bako Secretariat were also set on fire. Other establishments, including supermarkets and mosques, were attacked by rioting youths.

Police reportedly used teargas to disperse the demonstrators as the protests continued to spread. In response to the escalating violence, Governor Abba Yusuf declared a 24-hour curfew across the state in an effort to restore order.
