Hundreds of Women Rally in Port Harcourt to Support State of Emergency in Rivers State
PORT HARCOURT – On Monday, hundreds of women took to the streets of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to express their support for the state’s declaration of a state of emergency. The rally commenced at 8 a.m. as the women, clad in white attire, gathered at Garrison Bus Stop in the heart of the city.

As they marched along Aba Road towards the government house, participants sang solidarity songs backing the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas. The atmosphere was one of unity and determination among the demonstrators.
This show of support follows a previous protest last week, where another group of women, united under the banner ‘Rivers Women for Sim,’ voiced their opposition to the state of emergency and the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Further details on the march will be provided as the situation develops.
