The land of Isiokpo was teary yesterday as the remains of their son and late Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe, as well as those of his wife and son, arrived the community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers state.
The corpses of the Wigwe’s arrived the Port Harcourt International Airport from the United States on Friday before proceeding to his home town in Isiokpo, Ikwere LGA, Rivers state.

The funeral of the trio will hold on Saturday at Isiokpo, his hometown, in Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State.
Wigwe, alongside his wife, son, and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), died in a helicopter crash at the border of Nevada and California in the US last month.
Their death attracted tributes from many across the world. Wigwe’s night of tributes held in Lagos had sympathizers recall his good deeds while alive.
As the corpses were being transported to Isiokpo, many were seen mourning the loss in tears.
