President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has embarked on a nationwide project commissioning tour as his administration marks its first anniversary on May 29.
The President departed Abuja for Lagos today to inaugurate several projects completed under his administration.
On May 28, President Tinubu will commission the newly paved road to Apapa and Tin Can Island ports, financed by the Dangote Group using tax credits. He will also virtually inaugurate the refurbished Third Mainland Bridge and commission the rehabilitation of 330 roads and bridges across the country.
The highlight of the President’s engagements on May 28 will be the inauguration of the iconic Lagos-Calabar Superhighway, a legacy project estimated to cost around N15 trillion. The project aims to connect nine coastal states, with Section Two already awarded to Hitech Construction Limited.
Upon his return to Abuja on May 30, President Tinubu will commission additional projects, including:
- The Southern Parkway, named after him by the FCT Administration
- The National Assembly Library Complex, also named after him
- The relaunch of the commercialized Abuja Light Rail (Abuja Metro)
- The Wuye Flyover-Link Bridge
- The Defence Intelligence Agency Headquarters
On May 31, the President will commission the NASENI-Portland Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Reverse Engineering Centre at Utako.
