In a recent inspection tour of ongoing projects within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister Nyesom Wike expressed confidence in the timely completion of various initiatives, attributing the progress to funding support from President Bola Tinubu.

During his visit on Saturday, Wike assessed six projects spread across the FCT, including significant infrastructure endeavors like the Southern Parkway and the Vice President’s Residence.

These projects, handled by reputable firms such as Setraco, Julius Berger, and Arab Contractors, showcased substantial progress according to the Minister’s observations.

Speaking to the press, Minister Wike emphasized the importance of politicians fulfilling their promises, noting that it fosters trust and confidence among the electorate.

He commended President Tinubu for ensuring adequate funding for the projects, which has enabled contractors to advance their work without hindrance.

Wike outlined the substantial progress made by various contractors, citing commitments to deliver key projects by May. He pledged to ensure that no project would be abandoned and emphasized the importance of adequate funding before awarding new contracts.

In response to inquiries about working during the Easter break, Minister Wike stressed the significance of unity and peace, stating that Easter should not deter progress or halt essential activities.

The Minister concluded by announcing plans to convene with contractors to finalize project timelines and reiterated his commitment to ongoing inspections to ensure project readiness for the anticipated handover in May.
