Kylian Mbappé has escalated his financial dispute with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), appealing to the Ligue de Football Professionnelle’s legal committee to settle the matter. The French star is demanding €55 million in unpaid wages, a sum that includes the final months of his salary and additional bonuses, which could bring the total to around €100 million, according to Le Monde.
The conflict intensified following Mbappé’s summer transfer to Real Madrid, after spending seven years at PSG. The disagreement centers on the circumstances surrounding his departure, with the club’s management and its main shareholder, Qatar Sports Investments, withholding payments to the former team captain.
Mbappé notably excluded any mention of the club’s directors or owners in his farewell video, instead focusing on his teammates, Parc des Princes staff, and the fans.
With no resolution in sight, the matter has been referred to France’s professional football league (LFP). Mbappé’s legal team has indicated that they are prepared to take the case to an employment tribunal if necessary. Meanwhile, PSG insists their actions are justified and confirm that negotiations are ongoing.
