President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to revolutionizing agriculture in Nigeria to attain self-sufficiency in food production and become a net exporter of agricultural products.

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation from the Global Tijaniyya Movement at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Sunday, President Tinubu emphasized the significance of agricultural productivity and outlined various initiatives to achieve this goal.

In his address, President Tinubu highlighted plans to expand farmlands, provide low-interest loans to farmers, and invest significantly in irrigation infrastructure to bolster agricultural output.

“We are dedicated to equipping hospitals with modern equipment, providing healthcare professionals with training, and ensuring social welfare for every citizen, including comprehensive health insurance coverage,” he affirmed.

President Tinubu expressed his administration’s determination to make Nigeria a net exporter of food by aggressively mechanizing agriculture, citing the importance of productivity in line with the Sunnah and principles he grew up understanding.

Acknowledging the importance of spiritual endeavours in nation-building, President Tinubu underscored his administration’s commitment to supporting religious activities and emphasized the need for collaboration between political and spiritual leaders to advance national interests and promote unity among the people.

The President thanked the Global Tijaniyya Movement for their support and prayers, emphasizing the significance of collective efforts in building a better Nigeria.

In response, Sheikh Mahe Niass, the Khalifa of Tijaniyya, commended President Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s peace, progress, and stability.

He expressed confidence in the President’s leadership and conveyed the fervent support and prayers of members of the Global Tijaniyya Movement to the Nigerian leader.

During their visit, the delegation offered prayers for the nation’s progress, unity, and prosperity, and prayed for Almighty Allah to grant President Tinubu wisdom, strength, and success.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity made the statement known to the public on Sunday.
