Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced plans to commission Africa’s largest Water Park in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The declaration came during a courtesy visit from Sunrise Estate Developers and the Nadeem Group, who extended an official invitation for the commissioning event scheduled for March.


Wike praised the developers for their investment in the FCT, emphasizing the Water Park’s potential to stimulate commercial activity and employment opportunities for youth. He urged the group to fulfill their tax obligations, highlighting the crucial role of taxes in funding developmental projects within the FCT.

During a meeting with a delegation from Sunrise Estate Developers and the Nadeem Group, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, disclosed plans to inaugurate what is touted as Africa’s largest Water Park in Abuja.

Wike expressed gratitude to the developers for their commitment to the FCT’s development, recognizing the Water Park as a significant addition to the city’s infrastructure.


The minister underscored the economic benefits and employment prospects the project would offer, emphasizing the importance of creating a conducive environment for investors.

Addressing the delegation, Wike stressed the necessity of tax compliance, stating that tax revenue is essential for financing crucial projects such as road construction and public infrastructure within the FCT.

Head of the delegation and special adviser to the CEO of Sunrise Estate Developers, George Tolofari, conveyed their purpose for the visit, highlighting the upcoming commissioning of the Water Park.


Tolofari commended Wike’s investor-friendly approach and expressed optimism about Abuja’s potential to rival other global capitals with adequate support from the administration.

The impending commissioning of Africa’s largest Water Park signifies an important milestone in Abuja’s development trajectory, reflecting the city’s continuous growth and attractiveness to investors.
