The founder of Adeleke University and father to afrobeats superstar Davido, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, has made a remarkable announcement that has sent ripples of excitement among the institution’s graduating students. During the university’s 10th undergraduate and 6th postgraduate convocation ceremony, Adeleke revealed that he will be offering automatic employment to all first-class engineering graduates from the institution.
To facilitate this, Adeleke invited the graduates to serve at Pacific Energy’s power plants located in Ogun or Ondo state during their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. This opportunity will not only provide the graduates with valuable work experience but also ensure a seamless transition into the workforce upon completion of their service year.
Adeleke emphasized that their graduates should apply for NYSC postings to either Ogun State or Ondo State, where the power plants are situated. He assured the graduates that those who do so will be welcome to serve at the plants and, upon completing their service year, will be offered a job with automatic employment.
The founder’s gesture is seen as a boost to the institution’s engineering programme, which has consistently produced high-achieving graduates. The offer is also expected to attract more students to pursue engineering courses at Adeleke University, which is known for its strong industry connections and academic excellence.
