A devastating incident occurred early Thursday morning when a vehicle carrying Nigerian soldiers struck an explosive device in the Mugunu area of Maiduguri, resulting in the death of seven soldiers.
According to reports, the soldiers were responding to a distress call regarding a Boko Haram attack on a neighboring community. Their vehicle hit an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) believed to have been planted by the terrorist group along the Gamboru Ngala-Maiduguri Road.
