Just In: Kogi LG Chairman Kidnapped By Gunmen

Four youths were killed in an attack by gunmen at a mining site in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State on Friday night.

Zacchaeus Michael, the caretaker chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State was abducted by gunmen on Friday night.

The kidnapping occurred along the Kabba-Okene Road, according to police reports.

Kogi Police Command Confirms the incident

The State Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched a search-and-rescue mission. Police Public Relations Officer William Aya stated, “We are on top of the situation and are working to ensure the safe release of the chairman and his aides.”

According to eyewitnesses, Michael was kidnapped alongside some of his aides. The authorities are urging anyone with credible information to come forward to aid in their rescue.

The incident has sparked concern among locals, who are calling for prayers and divine intervention for the safe release of the chairman and his aides.

The search operation is ongoing, and the police are appealing for any information that could assist in their rescue efforts.
