Personal Assistant and Driver Arrested for Killing Boss Days After Birthday

In a chilling twist, detectives have uncovered a shocking motive behind the brutal murder of 54-year-old Mrs. Debbie Olakunbi Adene, a renowned entrepreneur in Ondo State days after her birthday party.

The victim, who celebrated her birthday just days before her death, was killed by her personal assistant and driver, allegedly due to their desire to claim the money that was sprayed on her during her birthday celebrations.

According to police sources, the personal assistant, whose name has been withheld, was arrested after the victim’s body was discovered on her bed in a pool of blood by her neighbors. The caretaker of the house had alerted the authorities after being informed by the neighbors of the gruesome discovery.

The investigation revealed that Mrs. Adene had entertained visitors at her residence, serving assorted wine and drinks, and had posted several pictures of her celebration on social media. Her husband, Dele Adene, had expressed concern over the delay in the arrest of the killer, urging the police to track the suspect’s phone and investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder.

However, police detectives have made significant progress in the case, with the personal assistant providing valuable information about the events leading up to the killing. The driver, who is still on the run, allegedly provided the weapon used to hack Mrs. Adene to death.

The police officer in charge of the case confirmed that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder, but efforts to contact the state police image maker, Funmi Odunlami, were unsuccessful. The investigation is ongoing, with detectives working to uncover more details about the tragic event.

The shocking murder has sent shockwaves through the community, with many residents expressing outrage and sadness over the senseless killing of a respected entrepreneur and mother of two.
