Port Harcourt, Nigeria – Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has welcomed five new commissioners and two special advisers to the state executive council. The newly sworn-in commissioners are Ilamu Abua, Roland Obed-Whyte, Austin Nadozie, Samuel Eyiba, and Samuel Anya, while Forgive Amachree and Achor Nna took the oath as special advisers.
At the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Fubara urged the new appointees to work towards achieving the objectives of his administration. He emphasized the importance of implementing projects that would have a direct positive impact on Rivers people, despite the challenges they may face. The governor stressed that his administration is committed to delivering quality and people-oriented services that improve the quality of life for the people of Rivers State.
The governor also cautioned the new appointees against seeing their appointments as an opportunity to make economic gains, but rather as a chance to serve the state. He encouraged them to add value to the state executive council by contributing innovative ideas that promote good governance.
