Nigerian singer Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim, popularly known as Lyta, has officially announced his return to YBNL, the record label headed by music giant Olamide.
This comes after years of speculation, gossip, and a public fallout following Lyta’s departure from the label in 2019. His exit from YBNL was dramatic, sparking rumors of a strained relationship between the two artists.
However, in a recent interview on The Esther Show, Lyta finally addressed these rumors and confirmed that he will be rejoining YBNL. He revealed that a chance meeting with Olamide at a nightclub, orchestrated by a mutual friend, was the turning point.
According to Lyta, it all went down thanks to a mutual friend who got wind that Olamide was hitting the club that night. Seizing the golden opportunity, Lyta made sure he was there for the encounter.
However, after some persistent nudging from the show host, He finally confirmed what many had been hoping for: he’s making his way back to YBNL. The singer added that Olamide reached out and discussed the idea, and after much consideration, and he agreed to rejoin the label that kickstarted his career.
In the viral video of the encounter, the two artists appeared to have reconciled, fueling fan excitement. After much consideration and discussions, Olamide has personally invited him back to the label that launched his career.
