nigeria Should have never Been A country: Actress Laura adebisi
British-Nigerian actress Laura Adebisi recently made a bold statement regarding the formation of Nigeria, suggesting that the country’s ideological differences have made unity difficult.

In a video, she questioned the legitimacy of Nigeria as a nation, reflecting on its colonial history and the impacts that linger today.

Adebisi expressed her view that the ideological differences divides between the northern and southern regions of Nigeria are “insane,” and that these differences have created significant challenges for national unity.

She also referenced the Biafran war, arguing that colonial powers, particularly Britain, played a role in preventing the secession of the Eastern region, which wanted to form the independent state of Biafra.

She said:

“The footprints of colonialism are over Nigeria. Nigeria should have never been a country. The difference in ideology from the northern side to the southern side is insane.”

Adebisi believes that Nigeria’s current state is a direct result of colonial powers maintaining control over the country’s resources and political structure long after independence.

Her comments have sparked heated debates online, with some agreeing that colonialism left a damaging legacy, while others defended Nigeria’s unity and current structure.
