Munich, Germany – Nigeria international and Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface, has reportedly survived a serious car crash in Germany.
The incident occurred shortly after Boniface played a pivotal role in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Boniface, who has been in remarkable form since joining the German club in the summer of 2023, shared a video on his Instagram Stories on Sunday, showing the aftermath of the crash. The footage revealed extensive damage to the right side of a black vehicle, along with Boniface’s hand visibly dripping with blood.
Accompanying the video, Boniface wrote, “God is the greatest,” expressing gratitude after surviving the ordeal.
The striker’s impressive performance in the match, where he scored the winning goal, was overshadowed by the crash, but no further details have been provided regarding his injuries. Fans and teammates alike have sent messages of support as Boniface recovers.
