Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has confirmed the arrest of popular crossdresser Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, widely known as Bobrisky.

The arrest was disclosed in an official statement released via the NIS’s account on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday evening.

According to the statement, Bobrisky was apprehended at the Seme Border while attempting to flee to the Benin Republic. This arrest comes amidst ongoing investigations by the Nigerian House of Representatives.

Bobrisky has recently been under public scrutiny following a viral audio clip in which he allegedly bragged about avoiding prison time despite being sentenced. In the same recording, he admitted to settling a money laundering case after reportedly paying ₦15 million.
