Speaking on the development, Governor Mbah expressed his administration’s dedication to improving the welfare of workers in the state.

Enugu, Nigeria – Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has approved an increase in the state’s minimum wage to N80,000, with immediate effect.

The announcement was made on Thursday at the Lion Building, where Governor Mbah received the report of a committee tasked with reviewing the minimum wage.

Speaking on the development, the Governor expressed his administration’s dedication to improving the welfare of workers in the state.

“Today, I am pleased to announce the approval of a new minimum wage of N80,000 for all workers in Enugu State, effective immediately. This decision reflects our commitment to their well-being and our belief in the value of labor as a creator of wealth,” he stated.

The governor added that the wage increase is part of a broader strategy to enhance productivity and economic growth in the state by ensuring workers are adequately compensated.
