Airtel Nigeria has launched the 10th edition of its annual 5 Days of Love campaign, an initiative designed to spread joy during the festive season by feeding thousands of underprivileged Nigerians and fostering community support.

With the theme “5 Days; 6 Cities; 6,000 Meals,” the campaign kicked off on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Holy Cross Cathedral School, Onikan, Lagos, where 1,000 individuals, including children, youth, and the elderly, received hot packed meals.

The 5 Days of Love campaign aims to distribute a total of 6,000 meals across six cities, creating a festive atmosphere filled with joy, laughter, and entertainment. Following the Lagos event, the campaign moves to Borno on December 17, Abuja on December 18, and concludes in Enugu, Rivers, and Osun States on December 19 and 20, 2024.

Airtel Leadership’s Statement

At the Lagos event, Airtel Nigeria CEO Dinesh Balsingh, represented by Peter Francis, Lagos Regional Operations Director, shared the essence of the campaign:

“At Airtel, we pride ourselves in being a people-centred organization. This event is not only about providing meals; it is a meaningful way to connect with communities, share moments of warmth, joy, and togetherness, and create a vibrant atmosphere of celebration and love. Today reminds us of the core values of joy, love, kindness, and shared humanity that define this initiative and Airtel’s mission. Together, we can continue to make a lasting positive impact.”

The event witnessed the participation of local leaders, including Honourable Muibi Alade Folawiyo, Executive Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Government Development Area. He commended Airtel Nigeria for its thoughtful outreach:

“This is a remarkable act of kindness, and I appreciate Airtel for its dedication to uplifting lives and spreading love to individuals. I am grateful to Airtel Nigeria for spreading joy to us in this part of Lagos.”

Beyond meal distribution, the event featured entertainment and festive activities, creating an atmosphere of celebration.
