Prophet Odumeje Announces Presidential Ambition for 2027, Advocates for Youthful Leadership
Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, a cleric based in Anambra, has revealed his intention to run for the presidency of Nigeria in the 2027 elections. During a sermon on Sunday, which has garnered significant attention on social media, The prophet stressed the necessity for a new generation of leaders characterized by digital savviness, in stark contrast to what he referred to as “old cargoes.”

While he did not specify the political party he intends to represent, Odumeje took a critical stance on both former and current leaders, attributing the nation’s stagnation to their advanced age and lack of visionary thinking. “We need a young leader in this country, and I think I am coming out. We need a digital leader, not old cargoes,” he declared emphatically.
With a sense of confidence in his vision for Nigeria’s future, Odumeje continued, “Are you ready for me? Odumeje for president? Because I know what you need. I want to construct a main road called Citadel for you. I want to give you a modern life, a digital life.”
His announcement has ignited a diverse range of reactions on social media, with many of his supporters expressing enthusiasm, while others have raised concerns regarding his qualifications for a political role. As the 2027 elections draw nearer, Odumeje’s burgeoning political aspirations are poised to stimulate considerable discussion regarding the future of leadership in Nigeria.
