President Tinubu Returns to Abuja After European Trip Focused on Security and Development
Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Monday evening, concluding a two-week working trip across Europe. His aircraft touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 9:50 PM, where he was greeted by senior government officials.
The President, who departed Nigeria on April 2nd, spent time in both Paris and London during his trip. Throughout his European sojourn, he maintained close communication with key government personnel, actively overseeing crucial national issues, including directing security chiefs to address emerging threats across various regions of the country.
A significant highlight of the trip was a high-level meeting with Mr. Massad Boulos, the United States Department of State’s Senior Advisor for Africa. This meeting underscored Nigeria’s continued commitment to collaborating with international partners in tackling complex security and development challenges confronting Africa.
President Tinubu’s arrival was met by a welcoming party comprising key members of his administration, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume, Chief of Staff to the President Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Security Adviser (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu, and the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. Their presence signified the importance placed on the President’s return and the resumption of critical government functions.
