Abuja, Nigeria – Veteran lawmaker, Hon. Wole Oke, has officially parted ways with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), bringing an end to his long-standing affiliation with the opposition party.

The six-term member of the House of Representatives, who represents the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, announced his resignation following consultations with political allies, family members, and close associates.

In a resignation letter dated April 16, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Ward 7 Chairman in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, Oke formally communicated his decision to exit the party.

When contacted on Wednesday, Oke confirmed the development to newsmen. “I have resigned from the PDP,” he said without elaborating.

Although he did not disclose his next political move, the lawmaker urged his supporters and loyalists to withdraw from the PDP and stay alert for further instructions regarding his future political direction.
