How I ate pounded yam with Burna Boy in dream - Odumodublvck

Nigerian music sensation Tochukwu Ojogwu, widely known as Odumodublvck, has disclosed insights about his relationships within the music industry, particularly highlighting his friendships with fellow artists. In a recent appearance on the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope, he expressed that Rema ranks among his closest friends.

Odumodublvck also shared an intriguing anecdote regarding his first meeting with Burna Boy. He recounted a dream where they were enjoying pounded yam together, noting that when he eventually met the star, Burna Boy mentioned it was the first time he had tasted pounded yam in two years.

In his discussion, Odumodublvck emphasized the authenticity of his friendships, stating, “Rema is my friend. Seyi Tinubu is also my friend. Despite his father being the president and the backlash he faces, he invited me to his home for dinner simply because he appreciates my music. I’m rooted in the streets; Seyi has no ulterior motive with our friendship.”

He further affirmed his camaraderie with Rema, asserting that he has no need to idolize other prominent figures like Adele or Speed Darlington. He described Burna Boy as his “spirit animal” and expressed admiration for Skepta as well.

Odumodublvck — the “Convenant Child”

In addition to revealing his close ties in the music scene, Odumodublvck shared a personal aspect of his life. He identifies as a “covenant child,” born to a mother who gave birth to him at the age of 39, and he proudly noted that he is her only child. He explained, “I am the only child of my mom. People need to understand that I’m a true covenant child. I grew up in the church, and that’s the foundation of my music.”

As a testament to his self-assuredness in the industry, he boldly declared, “I am one of the most confident artistes in the history of music… I am just a vessel.”

Odumodublvck recently captured attention with the release of his highly anticipated single “PITY THIS BOY,” featuring Victony, which has generated significant buzz online among fans and followers.
