Popular rapper, Drake lost a whooping $615,000 dollars in sport betting against Anthony Joshua in favour of Francis Ngannou in the “Joshua vs Ngannou” boxing match.
Drake wanted Ngannou to win but it turned out his hope was dashed when Joshua destroyed Ngannou in the second round by a knockout, winning the much-talked about match.
If the match had gone in favour of Ngannou, the rapper would have received a payout of more than $1.9 million.
Drake posted a picture of his betting slip on Instagram, with the comment, “Betting on a scary man.”
Like Many, Drake Overrated Ngannou
This was Ngannou’s second professional boxing match. He lost his first to Tyson Fury in October, leaving an impressive outing. In fact, many thought the former UFC champion got a raw deal in that split decision loss.
His pre match sessions with Joshua had many thinking Ngannou would upset Joshua in minutes but the opposite was the reality as Joshua sent Ngannou dropping to the floor three times before the final bell.
