Obi Cubana endorses new reality show, ‘Next Naija Couple’

Nigerian businessman and socialite, Obi Cubana, has thrown his weight behind a new reality TV show, ‘Next Naija Couple‘, which aims to redefine modern relationships by promoting authentic love and commitment rooted in African society. The show, organized by Quadrangle Media Limited in collaboration with Cubana Group, was unveiled on Sunday at the EbonyLife Place in Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to Obi Cubana, the show will feature 12 men and 12 women searching for love and will air on PopCentral TV (DSTV channel 189) and AIT starting from October 6. The show will also have a dedicated app for on-demand viewing.

The event was attended by top entertainers, including AY, Chinedu Ikedizie aka Aki, and Charles Novia. Obi Cubana emphasized the importance of hard work, love, and faith in a strong marriage, highlighting that even though marriages have been impacted by social media platforms, they can also be used to promote and uphold the core values of marriage.

Managing Director of Quadrangle Media Limited, Iyke Obi, noted that the show will feature participants between the ages of 15 and 35 who will enter the villa as boys and girls but come out as men and women. The show will run for eight weeks and is targeted at fostering true love amid the challenges of social media-driven relationships.

Active Viewers can stand a chance to win wonderful prizes as the show come on air. The winning couple will take home a huge sum of money among other goodies. Applications are open for six weeks, after which regional auditions will commence to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate in the show.

The show aims to celebrate the core values of Africa and tell stories from an African standpoint, promoting a narrative about African relationships and marriages that is authentic and rooted in culture.”
