Lagos, Nigeria – Nigerian street-pop sensation, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has stirred fresh controversy by challenging British-Nigerian boxing icon Anthony Joshua to a N100 million face-off, abandoning an earlier planned bout with fellow entertainer, Darlington Okoye, popularly called Speed Darlington.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, the self-styled “Zazuu” crooner dismissed Speed Darlington as an unworthy contender, expressing his desire to engage in a more high-profile showdown with the former heavyweight boxing champion.

“I’m not fighting Speed Darlington again; I want Anthony Joshua with N100 million,” Portable declared, while boasting about his dominance and popularity in the entertainment space.

Portable also accused Speed Darlington of using the proposed boxing match as a publicity stunt to promote his upcoming event slated for April. According to him, the feud was a strategy aimed at garnering attention.

This development comes shortly after Speed Darlington shared footage of himself in the gym preparing for the anticipated clash. In a dramatic twist, he posted a video of himself purchasing a coffin before heading into a training session—an apparent jab at Portable.

The tension between the two artistes intensified after Darlington reportedly offered Portable N500,000 to perform at his show, an amount he publicly ridiculed as demeaning.

Known for his unorthodox training methods, Portable has been seen working out in an open-air, improvised boxing ring. The street-hop artist previously clinched victory over Nollywood actor Charles Okocha in a celebrity boxing match held in December 2023, and has since rejected calls for a rematch.
