Nigerian rapper Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has finally spoken out regarding his alleged rift with Wizkid.
Skales made these revelations while addressing a comment from a user on X (formerly Twitter), sparking conversations among fans of both artists.
On Wednesday, he took to social media, reflecting on how certain individuals he had once supported turned their backs on him after achieving fame.
Despite this, the rapper expressed that he continues to thrive, stating that his blessings remain intact.
“You know how many people I have given a platform, and when they made it, they switched on me. But I am still here and being blessed by God. I’m unstoppable. I am from Kaduna with Edo in my blood. I am Martina’s son,” Skales shared.
However, things escalated when a user, @aurora94212924, claimed that Skales had also “switched” on Wizkid, accusing him of befriending Wizkid’s enemies to spite him. The comment, which read:
“You switched on Wiz too, became friends with his enemies so as to spite him. Forever an underdog Werey.”
In response, Skales has set the record straight. He denied any betrayal, clarifying that they were never close friends despite being signed to the same record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).
“I never ever switched on him. He doesn’t like me. We were never close friends either but EME members, so rest.” he stated.
