Tiwa Savage Files Police Petition Against Davido Over Alleged Threats

Nigerian musician, Tiwa Savage has submitted a formal petition to the Lagos State Police, accusing fellow artist Davido of making threats of physical harm.

The petition, directed to the Officer in Charge of the CP Special Squad 2 in Ikeja, outlines a distressing situation that unfolded on social media.

The incident began on December 23rd when Tiwa Savage shared an Instagram Story featuring herself and Sophia Momodu. Allegedly, Davido expressed his displeasure through messages to Savage’s manager, utilizing disrespectful and derogatory language towards Savage. In response, Tiwa Savage requested Davido to cease communication, citing her past support for him during difficult times.

Davido ignored Tiwa Savage’s post about the issue online but sent threats through their friends

This dispute not only strains the relationship between the two artists but has also prompted inquiries from their mutual connections.

Tiwa Savage’s petition urgently seeks police intervention, emphasizing the perceived threat of assault and grievous bodily harm she claims to have received from Davido.

The case adds a layer of tension to the dynamics within the Nigerian music industry, prompting increased scrutiny of interpersonal dynamics among its prominent figures.

Recall that in 2015, Sophia Momodu had a child with Davido, and their relationship had soured shortly after the baby’s delivery.

Sophia Momodu then took to social media, recounting her past experiences with Davido. Allegations include mistreatment, abuse, and the forceful separation of their child.

The outburst with Tiwa Savage stems from a recent capture of them together, further escalating the ongoing feud between Davido and his baby Mama, Sophie Momodu.

As the situation continues to unfold, fans and industry insiders are closely watching how authorities will respond to Tiwa Savage’s serious allegations against Davido.
