Entertainment Roundup: Wizkid drops ''Made in Lagos'' Album, Burna Boy dedicates new song to #EndSARS protest victims

Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has finally dropped his fourth studio album titled “Made in Lagos”.

The Afrobeats superstar dropped the highly anticipated music project earlier scheduled for release on October 15, 2020.

Wizkid who has been very vocal on many issues in the country including calling out the government on social media via his tweets whenever they drop the ball has dedicated this new album project to Nigerians in view of the many occurrences in the country like police brutality, bad governance and leadership, etc.

The 14-Track album which is already now topping the charts as #1 in 14 different countries on Apple Music albums chart is enveloped with unique sounds, live instrumentation and vibes of Lagos celebrating Wizkid’s love and appreciation for his roots.

The music project has massive collaborative features from an incredible group of chart-topping artists – Burna Boy, Skepta, Damian Marley, H.E.R. Ella Mai and Starboy Entertainment’s youngest signee Terri.

Burna Boy dedicates new song “20.10.20 to #EndSARS protest victims

African giant, Burna Boy has released a new song titled “20.10.2020”.

On the 23rd of October, 2020, the Nigerian superstar shared a teaser of this new song which is dedicated to the victims killed at the Lekki Toll Gate Shootings on Tuesday, 20th October, 2020.

The song highlights the dark event that took place at the Lekki Toll Gate where unarmed young Nigerians peacefully protesting where said to have been killed by the Nigerian military.

Burna Boy has been equally very vocal in calling out the Nigerian government in areas where they are failing as well as conscientizing citizens on the need to demand good governance from their elected leaders.
