Nollywood Star Nancy Isime Celebrates Fulfilling Lifelong Dreams of Home Ownership
Nollywood actress Nancy Isime recently shared an inspiring personal journey on social media, highlighting the realization of two of her biggest aspirations: constructing a dream home for her father and acquiring a mansion for herself at the age of 33. In her reflection, Nancy candidly spoke about her modest upbringing and the fierce determination that drove her to achieve these goals.
The actress recounted a poignant memory from her youth when she was just 13 years old, sitting in an incomplete house destined to be their new home. “I vividly remember, it was an uncompleted building, with only a few windows and doors securing the rooms where we would sleep. The rest was merely a shell,” she recalled.
Nancy Isime described the hardships her family endured while living in that unfinished structure, which lacked essential amenities such as flooring, ceilings, and access to running water—relying instead on a well for all their water needs, including drinking.
With a strong desire to change her family’s narrative, Nancy made a personal commitment. Sitting in that uncompleted space, she vowed, “I’m going to own a good home! But before I buy even a tiny piece of land, I’m going to help Daddy achieve his lifelong dream of owning a fully completed, furnished house.”
Her journey toward this dream began at the age of 17 when she secured her first job as an event usher. “With each payday, I set aside money toward ‘Vision Daddy’s house,’” she explained, emphasizing her consistency throughout various career changes.
After years of hard work, Nancy finally had the chance to hand over the keys to her father’s completed and furnished home on December 18, 2022. “While everyone was celebrating this achievement, I quietly said to God, ‘I have fulfilled what you told me to do, please help me with my own, but in Your time,'” she shared.
In what she described as divine timing, precisely one year later, on December 15, 2023, she was presented with the keys and documents for her own dream home after making her initial payment just days earlier.
Reflecting on her journey, Nancy expressed gratitude, especially considering her initial doubts about her prospects. “Just months before this moment, owning a home felt impossible; I was even jokingly eyeing my potential husband’s house,” she added lightheartedly.
Through her experiences, Nancy attributed her achievements to God’s grace and timing, noting, “God is good! My obedience to His word has brought about remarkable blessings in my life, as outlined in Deuteronomy 28:1-13.”
She credited her success to divine guidance and favor, stating, “God has blessed me not only with the grace, wisdom, and direction needed for a successful life but has also opened doors that no one can close, connecting me with the right opportunities and granting me uncommon favor.”
In closing, Nancy conveyed heartfelt appreciation for her journey, underscoring a message of faith and hard work: “Which of the Lord’s blessings can I deny? None!”
