ABUJA – In a tragic incident on Saturday, a building under construction collapsed in the Sabon Lugbe area of Abuja, trapping at least 40 individuals beneath the debris.
As rescue operations are ongoing, sympathizers and emergency responders have gathered at the scene, diligently working to save those still caught in the rubble. The collapse occurred in the early hours of the day, sparking immediate calls for assistance from government agencies and emergency response teams.
Eyewitnesses at the site have voiced their concerns and are urging for more support to enhance the rescue efforts. “There are at least 40 individuals trapped in the debris of this collapsed building. This structure was still under construction. We urgently request the government and relevant agencies to expedite their rescue operations,” stated one eyewitness.
