In a dramatic turn of events, the headquarters of Christ Embassy, a prominent Christian ministry led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, was engulfed in flames on Sunday morning. While many were left stunned by the sudden incident, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome took to the pulpit to address the situation.
According to reports, social media platforms were flooded with videos and images of the fire ravaging the Oregun, Ikeja-based church building. During his sermon at the church’s campground in Asese, Pastor Oyakhilome delivered a message of hope and resilience, stating that he believes nothing happens by accident in the life of a child of God.
He drew parallels with a past experience during the 2001 Ikeja cantonment bombing, when the church building shook significantly but did not collapse. Instead of viewing it as a setback, Pastor Oyakhilome saw it as an opportunity to build an even better structure.
“We will take this incident as a chance to rebuild and create something greater and more glorious.” he emphasized
The Lagos Fire Service responded promptly to the incident, and thankfully, no loss of life was reported. As the church begins its rebuilding process, Pastor Oyakhilome’s words of encouragement have no doubt lifted the spirits of his followers and inspired them to look forward to a brighter future.
