Kwara State Governor Approves Disbursement of Bursary and Scholarship Awards for Tertiary Students

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has given his approval for the disbursement of the 2023/2024 Bursary and 2022/2023 Scholarship Awards to indigenes of the state studying in tertiary institutions owned by both state and federal governments.

The announcement was made by the Commissioner of the Kwara State Ministry of Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, through an official statement released on Sunday via the state’s official communication platform.

According to the statement, only final-year students who are indigenes of Kwara State and attending government-owned tertiary institutions at both the state and federal levels are eligible to apply for the bursary and scholarship awards.

Dr. Mary Arinde highlighted the details of the approval, stating, “His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Malam #RealAARahman CON, has given approval for the payment of the 2023/2024 Bursary and 2022/2023 Scholarship Award to Kwara State indigenes in tertiary institutions owned by both State and Federal Government.”

The statement further clarified the eligibility criteria, emphasizing that only final-year students from Kwara State attending government-owned tertiary institutions are eligible for the awards. Interested applicants were given a two-week window, starting from Monday, 11th March 2024, to apply for the bursary and scholarship awards. The registration process for the awards is scheduled to close on Sunday, 24th March 2024.

To facilitate the application process for the bursary and scholarship awards, the statement provided instructions for interested students. Applicants were directed to register by logging onto the official website https://scholarship.kw.gov.ng and following the prescribed registration procedure.
