A lady, name withheld, has allegedly killed her lover, one Chukwuemeka, and made away with his Mercedes Benz car and some other undisclosed personal belongings in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
The lady was said to have stabbed her lover to death in his sleep. Efforts to reach the deceased by his relative proved abortive until his body was found in a pool of blood in his home in Uyo.
She was, however, later apprehended after friends and relatives of the deceased alerted police operatives of his murder.
An Uyo resident who is privy to the news informed REPORT AFRIQUE that detectives tracked the Mercedes benz car to a hotel in Uyo where the lady had lodged.
The suspect has been arrested and is being interrogated by detectives attached to the Ewet Housing Estate police station in Uyo.
The deceased, Chukwuemeka, was said to be an only son of his parents and a businessman who is into import and export services.
