The #ProduceForLagos initiative aims to leverage Niger State’s abundant agricultural resources and Lagos State’s organized market structure. It promises a consistent supply of essential food items, ranging from paddy to tubers and grains, ensuring food security and productivity for both states.

Under this agreement, farmers in Niger State will have a guaranteed market for their produce, fostering growth and stability in their livelihoods. Lagosians, on the other hand, will benefit from regular access to food supplies, ensuring availability and price stability of essential food items.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the initiative’s commitment to creating a sustainable ecosystem benefiting all stakeholders involved.

He added that the #ProduceForLagos initiative, combined with existing food logistics hubs and upcoming ones in Ketu-Ereyun, Epe, and other locations, is set to revolutionize the food supply chain, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and resilience for generations to come.

As the “Produce for Lagos Initiative” unfolds, Lagosians anticipate its significant impact on food availability, farmer prosperity, and community strength.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced this initiative on his X microblog account, underlining its importance for the future.
