The distribution of free family food boxes to 50,000 vulnerable families in Nigeria is set to conclude on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, according to a statement released on Monday. Each family food box contains essential dry food items, including rice, semolina, tomato paste, and other supplies, designed to sustain a family for five days. Over the past three weeks, the distribution has been carried out through various community-focused outreaches, reaching families in need across all geopolitical regions of the country.
Seyi Tinubu, the Patron of the City Boy Movement, expressed gratitude to the supporters, volunteers, and partners whose invaluable contributions have ensured the success of the program. The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced this decision in a statement released on Sunday by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Aishetu Ndayako.
