Sooyah Bistro, one of Nigeria’s largest indigenous quick service restaurants, has marked a significant milestone with the opening of its 10th location in Ibadan, the first outside Lagos state. The event was attended by the wife of the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mrs. Olamidun Ogundoyin, who shared her entrepreneurial journey and entrepreneurial tips.
Mrs. Ogundoyin, the founder and CEO of Sooyah Bistro, revealed that she started the business with a modest N20,000 investment in suya stock and a suya Mallam in 2018. She credited the loyalty of her customers for helping the business grow without the need for external financing. She emphasized the importance of delivering quality products and exceeding customer expectations, urging entrepreneurs to start small but strive for excellence.
The Commissioner for Energy in Oyo State, Seun Ashamu, commended Sooyah Bistro’s expansion to Ibadan, citing it as a testament to the enabling business environment and growth potential of the state. He encouraged the company to continue providing excellent services and exploring opportunities for partnership with the government to promote tourism and economic growth.
Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, praised his wife’s dedication and hard work in building the brand. He noted that the opening of the new branch marks a significant milestone in Sooyah Bistro’s journey and commended the team for their commitment to quality and excellence.
