Tinubu Hosts Senate Leadership, Emphasizes National Unity and Economic Recovery

President Bola Tinubu issued a stern warning to those responsible for the recent killing of soldiers in Delta State, asserting that his administration will ensure they face justice.

Speaking during a dinner with the leadership of the Senate at the State House, President Tinubu emphasized his administration’s unwavering support for the military in combating security threats across the nation.

“Our armed forces are dedicated to safeguarding our sovereignty, and we will not tolerate attacks on them or our security infrastructure,” President Tinubu declared.

He reiterated his commitment to national unity and the eradication of poverty, affirming, “We will continue to encourage and fight for our sovereignty, our rights to exist, and we will succeed in banishing poverty from our land.”

President Tinubu praised the integrity of the National Assembly while expressing gratitude for their expeditious handling of the budget. He acknowledged the challenges faced but expressed optimism about the country’s economic prospects.

“The natural challenge we are facing will be over. On the current economic difficulty, we are about to turn the corner. Light is at the end of the tunnel, and Nigerians will soon smile again,” President Tinubu assured.

He also commended the National Assembly for their swift attention to the Student Loan Amendment Bill and urged greater tolerance, forgiveness, and charity during Ramadan.

In response, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to interact with the President, emphasizing the importance of collaboration for the success of the administration.
