The Borno State Government alone contributed N10 billion to the relief efforts.
In addition to cash disbursements, the committee received donations of medical supplies, food, and other essential items worth billions of naira. Specific allocations included:

Gujibawu also recommended that the remaining N4.45 billion be used to rehabilitate flood-damaged earth roads, including the Gongulong and Old Maiduguri roads, and to distribute the remaining relief items to host communities. The flood, which displaced 101,330 households and affected over one million people, caused significant damage to public infrastructure and farmlands and claimed several lives.
Governor Zulum assured the committee that all recommendations would be implemented. He directed the immediate activation of a permanent disaster response structure at the state emergency management agency and tasked the Secretary to the State Government with developing a system for capturing street names and house numbers in the state capital and surrounding areas.
Additionally, the Ministry of Works was instructed to begin reconstruction of road networks destroyed by the floods.
Commending the committee and the Federal Government for their efforts, Zulum said, “Let me commend the members of this important committee for your meticulous work. In sha Allah, posterity will judge you positively.”
