Suspect Still at Large After Infant Burned in Unprovoked Brisbane Attack; Family Seeks Justice
Brisbane, Australia – A global manhunt is underway for a suspect who poured hot coffee on a nine-month-old baby in a shocking, random attack in Brisbane’s Hanlon Park. The baby has undergone three surgeries to treat severe burns on his face, arms, and legs.
Police are now collaborating with international law enforcement as they hunt for the perpetrator, described as a man in his 30s or 40s, wearing glasses, a blue shirt, cargo shorts, and a black hat.

“This was a deliberate and cowardly act,” said Detective Inspector Paul Dalton. “In my 35 years as a police officer, I’ve never seen an attack on a child this young in these circumstances.”
Despite the trauma, the baby’s mother said her son has shown remarkable resilience.

“He’s up, walking, and causing chaos,” she shared. “We’re incredibly proud of him.”
While no arrests have been made, police have released CCTV footage and enhanced images of the suspect. Authorities are expected to provide an update soon.
A GoFundMe campaign for the baby has raised over $150,000 as the family continues to seek justice. “This horrific event should have never happened,” the mother said. “We hope justice will be served.”
