Earlier, Dangote refinery had lowered the price of petrol from N880 to N865 per litre. However, despite the adjustment, downstream operators failed to reflect the reduction in pump prices for consumers, raising concerns among industry observers.
Lagos, Nigeria – In response to the continued dip in international crude oil prices, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh cut in the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called petrol.
The new rate stands at N835 per litre, representing a 3.5 percent reduction from its previous price of N865.
This latest adjustment comes as global crude oil prices plummet to $64 per barrel, down from over $70 in recent weeks. The shift in the international market has prompted the refinery to align its pricing, reinforcing its commitment to influencing positive change in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.

With a daily refining capacity of 650,000 barrels, the Dangote Refinery remains a critical asset in Nigeria’s energy ecosystem, positioned to ease the nation’s dependence on fuel imports and stabilize local pricing over time.
