Nigerian Lawmaker, Ekene Abubakar Adams has passed on
Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams, a member of the House of Representatives, has been confirmed dead.
Adams, who represented the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State under the Labour Party, passed away on Tuesday morning following a brief illness.
According to his wife, Adams had been ill before his untimely death. He was serving as the Chairman of the House Committee on Sports at the time of his passing.
Mr. Mike Obasi, a close friend of Adams, also confirmed his death via a WhatsApp message.
This tragic news follows the recent death of another House member, Olaide Adewale Akinremi, who represented the Ibadan North Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), just last week.
