Federal Civil Service Commission Resumes recruitment for 2025 vacancies
Federal Civil Service Commission Commences Recruitment of New Staff

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has announced its intention to recruit new staff to fill various positions within the Federal Civil Service. The Commission, in a statement released on Monday via its official X (formerly Twitter) account, invited interested applicants to submit their applications through its dedicated recruitment portal.

According to the statement, the recruitment exercise is open to all eligible Nigerians, including individuals with physical challenges. The Commission emphasized that applicants should apply for only one position, highlighting the need for careful consideration to avoid multiple applications.

Eligible candidates can access the recruitment portal at https://recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng, where they will be required to upload a range of documents as part of the application process. These include

  • a Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Degree/HND/NCE Certificate
  • WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate
  • Primary School Certificate
  • NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  • Local Government Identification
  • Recent Passport Photograph

Individuals with physical challenges are also encouraged to indicate the nature of their disability when applying.

The details of the vacancies, including eligibility requirements and necessary documents, can also be accessed on the Commission’s website at http://fedcivilservice.gov.ng, as well as in three national newspapers: The Sun, Daily Trust, and The Nation.

The statement noted that the deadline for submission of applications is Monday, March 10, 2025. The FCSC has encouraged interested candidates to visit its website or refer to the announcement in the aforementioned newspapers for further details.

The recent recruitment drive by the FCSC follows several other federal government agencies that have also announced vacancies in recent months. In December 2024, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) opened applications for the recruitment of officers into various positions, with the job application portal closing on January 2, 2025.

Similarly, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) began its recruitment exercise in December 2024, seeking experienced professionals to fill specialized roles in areas such as tax investigation, public relations, and ICT (cybersecurity and AI management). The FIRS recruitment portal opened on December 23, 2024, and closed on January 11, 2025.

It is worth noting that these recruitment drives aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the federal government’s operations, as part of its efforts to drive economic recovery and growth.

In related news, the Federal Civil Service Commission has emphasized its commitment to providing equal opportunities for all eligible Nigerians, including those with physical challenges. The Commission has encouraged individuals with physical challenges to take advantage of this opportunity, and has assured them of a welcoming and inclusive environment in the workplace.
