Governor Siminalayi Fubara during the commissioning of the Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Center in Ndoni Town, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, made strong remarks directed at Local Government Chairmen and other political leaders showing disrespect towards him.

Expressing surprise at the presence of the local government chairman at the event, Governor Fubara hinted at a history of non-participation by local government chairmen in state government affairs.

He cautioned those who undermine his authority, stating that they have “already dung their pit” and will ultimately face consequences.

Governor Fubara asserted the commitment of his administration to uphold the rights and integrity of Rivers people without fear of intimidation.

He emphasized the importance of integrity and urged officials to act accordingly. He reiterated his administration’s determination to pursue its objectives despite challenges, with the aim of making the people of Rivers State proud.

Dr. Peter Odili, the former governor of Rivers State, constructed the Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Centre with his Pamo Foundation and handed it over to the Rivers State government.

Meanwhile, Fubara has been embroiled in a political feud with his predecessor, Barr Nyesom Wike, since October 2023, causing heightened tension throughout the state.
