Former Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina Joksimovic’s gruesome death shocks the nation as her husband’s disturbing confession is revealed
A chilling case that shocked Switzerland has taken another turn as the country’s Federal Supreme Court denied the release of Thomas, 41, who confessed to the brutal murder of his wife, Kristina Joksimovic, 38, a former Miss Switzerland finalist. Joksimovic was found dead in her home in Binningen, near Basel, in February this year.
Thomas admitted to the murder during a crime reconstruction in March. He claimed self-defense, stating that Joksimovic had attacked him with a knife. However, the court’s ruling stated she was strangled to death before her body was dismembered in the couple’s laundry room using a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears.
In a horrifying twist, officials revealed that parts of her body were chopped up and “pureed” with a hand blender before being dissolved in a chemical solution. Thomas was arrested the day after the discovery of her remains, initially telling investigators he found her dead and dismembered her in a panic.
The couple shared two children, further deepening the tragedy of this grim case.
