Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a productive meeting with the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation in Beijing, reaffirmed their dedication to completing the second phase of the Blue Line Rail project.

The discussions focused on creating an integrated system to serve Lagosians effectively, solidifying a long-term partnership.

The collaboration with CCECC and the support from partners mark a crucial step towards realizing this transformative project.

With over twenty-two million Lagosians in mind, the promise to address traffic and transportation challenges is rapidly turning into reality. Plans for the 4th Mainland Bridge were also on the agenda during the discussions and are expected to commence shortly.

As the official commissioning approaches, it’s announced that HE President Bola Tinubu will grace the occasion, marking the launch of the Red Line Rail for commercial operations.

The commitment to making Lagos work for all remains steadfast, promising a positive transformation in the city’s traffic landscape.

The governor revealed this on his social media handle on Thursday.

In a related the development, the governor had the opportunity to inspect some projects in China with the management of the Chinese company.

“I had the opportunity to inspect one of the project sites of the China Railway Construction Group, CRCG in Beijing, China.

I’m currently on a working visit that was conducted around the major project facility of the construction company. This is in connection to our plans for the construction of some major infrastructural projects in the State and our determination to increase the infrastructure stock of Lagos, especially in transportation.” Sanwo-Olu disclosed this further on his media handle.
