UNILORIN Expels Student For Demanding Ransom, Rusticate Another For Assault

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Kwara State, has expelled a 100-Level student, Olanrewaju Abdulkabir Abdulkadri, for allegedly demanding ransom from the parents of his missing colleague

Abdulkadri, with the matriculation number 22/52HL004, was a student in the Department of Information Technology and Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences.

The university also rusticated a 400-level student, Segun Micheal Oyewole, for beating a fellow female student.

Oyewole, from the Department of Counsellor Education in the Faculty of Education, was suspended for one academic session.

In a separate development, the university has promoted 16 senior academics to the rank of Professor, recognizing their exceptional achievements in teaching, research, and community service
