Nigerian Navy Promotes 146 Senior Officers

Abuja, Nigeria – The Navy Board has approved the promotion of 146 senior officers to various ranks within the Nigerian Navy. This development was announced by the Nigerian Navy spokesperson, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu.

Breakdown of Promotions

  • 24 Commodores have been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral
  • 26 Captains have been elevated to the rank of Commodore
  • 96 Commanders have been promoted to the rank of Captain

List of Newly Promoted Officers

The newly promoted Rear Admirals include Ibrahim Mohammed-Katsina, Suleman Dahun, and Gideon Jinjirim Kachim, among others.

The newly promoted Commodores include Mohammed Ahmed Abdullahi, Kabir Umar Rabiu, and Bashir Abubakar, among others.

Charge to Newly Promoted Officers

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, has charged the newly promoted officers to rededicate themselves to their responsibilities and remain loyal to the nation and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu.
