Chukwu delivered an impressive performance throughout the championship, which featured elite fighters from across the globe, demonstrating remarkable skill, dedication, and resilience.
In a statement released on Saturday, NPF Spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi shared that Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun extended his congratulations to Chukwu for her remarkable achievement, emphasizing that it embodies the Force’s dedication to excellence beyond the realm of law enforcement and into the domain of sports. “This victory is not merely a testament to Corporal Juliet Chukwu’s capabilities, but a significant triumph for the entire Nigeria Police Force and the nation. It illustrates that our officers have the potential to excel in varied facets of life,” the IGP remarked in the announcement.
Adejobi highlighted IGP Egbetokun’s efforts to actively promote sports within the police force, with a notable emphasis on Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). “Under his guidance, MMA has been adopted as an official sport within the Force, leading to the formation of the Nigeria Police MMA Association and the organization of the inaugural IGP MMA Open National Championship. The IGP reiterated the NPF’s commitment to supporting its athletes and fostering opportunities for officers to shine in diverse fields. He stated, “The NPF is dedicated to backing Corporal Juliet Chukwu and all police athletes on their path to greatness, as the Force continues to strive for further honors in a variety of sectors.” Throughout the year, the Nigeria Police Force has experienced significant accomplishments.
“The NPF remains unwavering in its dedication to organizational growth and success, with numerous programs and initiatives implemented to support this mission, including in the realm of sports.
