The key contenders in the Nigerian presidential Election, Muhammadu Buhari of the APC and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP have both cast their votes this morning.

Buhari and his wife, Aisha voted in his home town of Daura in Katsina state while Atiku voted at his polling unit of Ajiya in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa.
President Muhammadu Buhari was one of the first in the queue when the nearly 120,000 polling stations began opening at 0700 GMT.

Also, former president Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience Jonathan, have also voted in Otuoke, Bayelsa state.

The voters will also elect 468 members of the National Assembly: the Senate and the House of Representatives.
A total of 73 presidential candidates are participating in today’s election. However, the contest is expected to be between incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC and ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.
